How We Create Your Memory Book

Step 1: Consultation (45-60 minutes)

We'll meet either online or in your home for a warm conversation about your family's story and what makes your home special. Together, we'll walk through meaningful spaces and I'll provide a personalized collection recommendation based on your needs.

Step 2: Photography Session

Before your session, we'll send you a preparation guide with gentle suggestions, and you can choose whether to be present or give us private access. Our professional photographer will capture your home's authentic story with a respectful, flexible approach that works around your comfort level. Sessions range from 3 hours to a full day depending on your chosen package.

Step 3: Story Collection

We'll conduct a gentle interview about your memories and traditions, with no pressure to share more than feels comfortable. Multiple family members can participate as we ask questions like "What was your favourite room?" and "What will you miss most about this space?"

Step 4: Design & Creation (2-3 weeks)

Our professional design team will create your unique story book by blending photography with your personal memories and documents. You'll receive a digital preview with one revision round included to ensure it feels authentically yours.

Step 5: Delivery

Your finished memory book will be hand-delivered, and you'll also receive digital files through our secure online gallery.

About us…

With over 20 years in publishing, Mel McNamara witnessed countless families struggling with an unspoken heartbreak: how do you preserve a lifetime of love and memories when it's time to leave the home where your story unfolded?

After studying photography at RMIT Melbourne, she spent a decade in New York as a producer at Condé Nast Publications, working with iconic brands including Vogue, Vanity Fair, Glamour…, mastering the art of capturing emotion through imagery. Since returning to Melbourne in 2013, Mel has worked with premier clients like Target, Myer, Adairs and Bed, Bath & Table, but her true calling emerged when she realised families needed more than real estate photos—they needed their hearts and homes honoured.

Collaborating with master photographer Jess Middleton, whose refined documentary style captures not just how spaces look but how they feel, together they've created the first service dedicated to transforming the pain of goodbye into the beauty of forever remembrance.
